Stayed in Le Suc a few times to enjoy my kids' family and especially my grandchildren. The kids stayed for hours in the swimming pool, but also loved the evenings in the hot tub. The region is known for his good food (best meat came from Saint-Ceré, from the butcher at the corner) and also the Cahors wines. But having a glass of rosé from the Quercy at the terrace under the oak tree is why this place so special to me. Just unforgettable and what a view! wines. But also having a glass of rosé at the terasse under the oaktree. What a view!

The completely renewed “grange” (French for farmers barn) is situated at first sight in no-man’s-land. As the sun was shining over the frozen fields the first day after arrival, we took our bikes and discovered beautiful waterfalls and ruins. The second day we visited beautiful medieval towns, with local markets offering specialties as 'truffles' We prepared all these freshly bought local ingredients with all of our 12 friends in a nearly professional kitchen infrastructure. The very French syndic René explained that this infrastructure reflects the style of the Belgian owners. We were also offered some local wines and apple juice arrival. Believe it or not, but the third day we went skiing in Le Lioran (a mere 120 km away). When arriving home we enjoyed fondue and at 11 pm most of us dived into the Finnish Störvat, the woodstove heated hot tub for 10 (!) 45 degrees Celsius I nice when it freezes outside. We didn't jump into the large nearby swimming pool but used the snow to relax. And for the golf-aficionados: be aware that there is a 9-hole golf course at exactly 16 kilometers (check: www.golf-montal.fr). With an excellent 1 Michelin star restaurant onsite. We discovered this region as amazing and attractive for all seasons. The grange is in my opinion much more than average equipped rental house: its beautiful and original. It would advise this to families and friends with a at least 8 persons that look for alternatives for Tuscany and Umbria.

La grange du Suc offers everything you'd expect from a vacation house in France. It also comes with some nice features for those seeking absolute tranquility. If you're looking for a break, off the beaten track, away from the madding crowd but in companionship of a bunch of great friends then Le Suc is your place. Look no further if you want to spend some quality time with some friends and or families in one of the least dense populated places in la Douce France. Highly recommended! K
